Snap poll for C4 News: Public want Truss resignation and General Election

A nationally representative poll of 2,003 voters for Channel 4 News, reveals that the majority of the public want Liz Truss to resign, and a General Election. Only 11% think she should stay, and even the majority of 2019 Conservative voters (53%) say she should go.

The poll went into field immediately after she held her press conference where she announced the sacking of her Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng and completed before Channel 4 News aired less than five hours later

Find Out Now interviewed 2,661 GB Adults online on Friday the 14th of October 2022. The sample was adjusted to nationally representative sample of 2,003 within 1% +/- ONS quotas for gender, age, region, SEG, and past voting.
