Find Out Now provided a sample of 537 Conservative Party members to Labour Together, for a poll investigating their preferences on Conservative Party leadership and opinions on the local elections.

Key findings from the survey:

  • Both Penny Mourdant (46-34) and Nigel Farage (46-38) would have gained more support than Rishi Sunak if a Conservative Party leadership contest was held and those were the final two candidates
  • When presented with a list, the most popular answer for “best leader of the Conservative Party” was Nigel Farage with 27% selecting him
  • A plurality (but not a majority) think Rishi Sunak should resign as Prime Minister if the Conservatives lose more than half of the Council seats that they are defending at the local elections

About the survey

Find Out Now provided a sample of 537 Conservative Party members from 2024-04-12 to 2024-04-17, weighted by Labour Together based on best estimates of the target populations breakdown by age,
gender, region, and vote in the EU referendum, as well as vote in the 2022 Conservative leadership contest.
